Leading smart home security services provider, Arlo Technologies, on Monday announced a partnership with Samsung SmartThings. This agreement will integrate Arlo’s Smart Security Platform into the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem, with initial focus on the US market. Arlo expands Smart Security Platform’s integration with Samsung SmartThings
The partnership will enable SmartThings users to access security services through the SmartThings app. This integration will incorporate additional security features from Arlo’s platform. This builds on last year’s momentum, which added Arlo’s AI-powered object detection to the SmartThings platform. This also includes packages, people, and pet detection through Arlo Cameras
“We are excited to continue that collaboration with an even deeper integration that will power the next level of smart home security for SmartThings users,” said Matthew McRae, CEO of Arlo Technologies.
Financial terms are not disclosed yet
Leveraging Arlo’s advanced smart security platform, both companies will offer additional features to the SmartThings experience to give users the ability to control more and react faster to security events for added peace of mind. Both companies haven’t disclosed specific financial terms of the agreement or a timeline for the release of the new features. Either way, this is a positive development as consumer demand for integrated smart services continues to grow.
“Together, we’re laying the groundwork for new smart security services that will further enhance how users protect and manage their homes through SmartThings,” said Mark Benson, Head of SmartThings.
For those unaware, Arlo Technologies provides various security products like wireless cameras, floodlights, video doorbells, and subscription-based security services. The company’s third-quarter 2025 earnings exceeded analysts’ expectations. It achieved an earnings per share (EPS) of $0.16 and reported revenue of $139.5 million. This is slightly above the forecasted $138.69 million.
