Aqara has quietly introduced its first smart thermostat for North American consumers. Called the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200, the new smart home hub from the company works in tandem with the Apple Adaptive Temperature feature found in iOS 26. Moreover, the device works directly with another iOS 26 feature called Clean Energy Guidance. As per the brand, this collaboration balances comfort with energy savings by learning when users are home, sleeping, or away.
Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 is a complete smart home hub solution
Aqara’s latest smart home hub combines multiple things, including climate control, security, and automation, into a single wall-mounted hub. The tech firm has positioned the device as a 4-in-1 solution. It comes with a 4-inch touchscreen, which doubles as a command center for your home. The company has also packed the smart home accessory with a millimeter wave radar sensor. This sensor automatically wakes the screen as you walk.
For users of Apple devices, the Thermostat Hub W200 has deep integration with the iPhone, Apple Watch, HomePod, and Apple TV. This integration allows users to manage different things from a single hub. Notably, the smart home hub is also compatible with Google Home and Alexa. It also looks at local weather conditions to keep the indoor climate where you prefer it.
It works as the brain of your home network
Coming to other features, Aqara has designed the Thermostat Hub W200 as the brain of your home network. It works as a hub station for Thread, Zigbee, and Matter. Through deep integration, the device is capable of managing over 50 different devices from various brands.
Essentially, it eliminates the need for a separate hub box for different devices sitting next to your router. Without saying, it connects directly with other Aqara smart home devices. For example, if someone rings the bell, you can see who is there and unlock your smart door lock without touching your phone.
Aqara has priced the W200 at $159.99, and it is available to buy from Amazon, Best Buy, or the brand’s website. The company sells a separate C-wire adapter for $29.99, and is planning to offer a Matte Kit version for the Apple Store for $169.99 later this year.
