Apple is dominating the smartphone market with a market share that overshadows all other major brands, according to recently reported Q4 2025 results. Apple has always had a commanding brand presence among competitors, and it’s had its ups and downs in terms of market share. That being said, it’s now dominating by such a large amount that other top brands are struggling to find any type of growth.
It’s not just in smartphone market share, either. Earlier this week, Apple reportedly topped the Q4 2025 smartphone brands in terms of revenue share. During Q4 2025, it held 57% of the revenue share from smartphone markets on a global scale. The next closest brand was Samsung, which had a middling 11%. The market share is painting the same picture. This is great for Apple, but not so great for all the other competing brands.
Apple Q4 2025 market share skyrockets to new heights, reaching a total of 69%
According to new data from Counterpoint Research, Apple’s smartphone market share in Q4 2025 was at 69%. This is up from 65% at the same time the year before. Samsung holds the next highest amount at 13%, with other brands being placed at 18% between them. Interestingly, Samsung was at 18% in 2025, while other brands were at 17%. So Samsung lost market share while Apple and the “other” group gained some.
It’s also worth noting that these figures are based on the US market share for phones, and not global, like with the revenue share. Still, it’s an impressive accomplishment for Apple, and showcases the company’s capability for commanding attention from the consumer even all these years later.
Counterpoint also details Apple’s “historic” earnings from Q1 2026. According to the report, Apple made a massive amount of revenue, totaling $143.576 billion in revenue just this quarter. That’s no small amount.
