Apple has just launched the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. As usual, the more expensive “Pro” variants feature impressively powerful specs. However, this year Apple also wants to make them stand out visually—especially the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max—with a fresh color palette.
iPhone 17 Pro series “Deep Blue” hue is the most “unique” among the new colors
To start, the iPhone 17 series’ massive redesign is most noticeable on the more premium models. There’s now a large rear “camera viewfinder” that highlights the devices’ powerful new photography capabilities. Those interested in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max can choose from three colors: an attractive, business-looking Deep Blue, a striking Cosmic Orange, and a more classic Silver.
While the orange color stands out especially, it’s the “Deep Blue” shade that’s the most different this time. Why? Because it’s the only one that maintains a mono-color aesthetic in its rear area. Meanwhile, the other variants feature a dual-tone finish.

Key features
Both iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max feature a unibody frame crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. You’ll also find Apple’s Ceramic Shield on both the rear and front for superior protection. The new A19 Pro 3nm chipset powers both devices. Plus, for the first time on an iPhone, a vapor chamber helps maintain sustained high performance for longer. By the way, you can buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max with up to 2TB of storage.
The cameras are equally impressive. The Pro series features a triple 48MP “Fusion” camera system that includes an impressive 8x “Fusion Zoom.” The new front-facing 18MP Center Stage camera brings better quality for video calls and selfies.
The iPhone 17 Pro pre-order stage begins on September 12. Both the Pro and Pro Max handsets will be available in stores starting September 19.
