Read King broke ground on The Glade at The Groves apartment complex in Atascocita, adjacent to the 1,000-acre The Groves community. The site is already home to an H-E-B supermarket and the first retail and restaurant tenants at The Market at The Groves may open before the end of the year.
The Houston Business Journal reports the developer expects the first units of the 336-unit apartment complex to be ready in November 2026.
The complex will offer one- to three-bedroom apartments ranging from 695 to 1,347 square feet with balconies or backyards. Amenities will include a resort-style pool, a fitness building with a yoga studio and golf simulator, a pickleball court, dog parks, grilling stations, garages and carports, and EV charging stations.
Residents will be able to access the 225,000-square-foot shopping center right from the apartment complex’s back entrance. Read King has already completed a 35,691-square-foot retail and restaurant complex around a central green space.
Chipotle, Dunkin’, Whataburger, PNC and Chase have signed up as tenants. A 10,000-square-foot medical office building is also planned there.
