
Hunt Realty Investments sold 120 acres on Airport Road in Terrell to Amazon for the development of an international distribution complex.
The Dallas Business Journal added that construction of the new inbound cross-dock facility is underway, and the complex will support more than 1,000 jobs. Seefried Industrial Properties Inc., which is known for developing Amazon industrial facilities, has begun work on an approximately 933,656-square-foot industrial facility site on the land.
Since 2019, Amazon has invested about $70 billion in Texas, where it currently has 49 fulfillment centers, 33 delivery stations and 36 Whole Foods locations.
Hunt retained 8,000 acres of surrounding land in Terrell following the sale. Â
