An all-wheel-drive example of the BMW M2 could be in the pipeline, and might even arrive later this year, according to a recent report. Speaking with BMW Blog, Dirk Häcker, BMW M’s head of research and development, explained that an xDrive version of the M2 “could” be on the table. But he stopped short of confirming plans, stating that there is currently “no final decision.” This follows a similar report in March, also from BMW Blog and according to company sources, which claimed that development of an M2 xDrive was already underway, with production slated to begin in August.
