Adobe Inc. is closing its downtown Portland office and consolidating staff to other locations.
The company filed a notice that it will close its location at 1500 S.W. First Ave. and reassign 47 workers to offices in Seattle and San Jose, California, reported The Oregonian. It also plans to move 52 other employees to remote jobs and cut two positions.
Adobe filed a layoff notice with the Oregon WARN system in case workers turn down relocation offers, it said in the filing. The company informed employees of the move last week.
“At Adobe, we regularly assess the use of our offices to balance business needs with the ways in which employees are using our spaces,” the company said in a statement. “This has led us to expand our presence in some locations while combining or reducing our footprint in others.”
