With today’s announcement of the new Nest Cameras, Google also debuted the new version of Nest Aware, which is now called ‘Google Home Premium’. This is essentially the same plan, at the same price, of $10 per month. But it is also included with the Google AI Pro plan for Gemini and Google One.
Here’s what is included in Google Home Premium:
- 30 days of event-based video history: Catch highlights of what happened on cameras and doorbells
- Intelligent Alerts: Smarter alerts for familiar faces, garage door detection, package detection, smoke & CO alarm, and more
- Gemini for Home: Use Gemini Live on your speakers and displays, have natural conversations, and go deeper on a topic
- Help me Create: Automate your home by just typing out what you want in the Google Home app
Bundling it with Google AI Pro is a really nice idea too. That jumps up to $19.99 per month, but it does include Gemini 2.5 Pro and other features, including 2TB of Google One Storage.
Google Home Premium Advanced starts at $20/month
There’s another tier of service too, called Google Home Premium Advanced. This includes everything from Google Home Premium, but it also brings in 60 days of event video history and up to 10 days of 24/7 video history.
As far as new features go, it does include Gemini search in your video history. So you can ask complex and conversational queries with Gemini. Google is able to generate detailed event descriptions for your camera and doorbell footage. And that also includes Home Brief daily summaries.
And the best part is, if you already have Google AI Pro, you can add Google Home Premium Advanced for just $10 more per month. It is included in the Google AI Ultra Plan which costs $249/month however.
