- It produces 750 hp from a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 engine.
- It has been driven just 564 miles since new and is barely broken in.
The Pagani Zonda has become one of the most prized exotics of the 21st century, and later this year, a one-off known as the Riviera may sell for as much as $10.5 million. If that happens, it will represent a nearly $5 million premium over the car’s last known sales price, meaning that Zondas like this are largely matching McLaren F1s in the rate at which they’re gaining value.
The Zonda in question is known as the Riviera and started out life as a 2006 Zonda F. In 2017, it was returned to Pagani’s factory and was transformed into one of the firm’s numerous one-off 760 series-based models. Despite its age, it’s only been driven 908 km (564 miles), so it’s perhaps no surprise that RM Sotheby’s believes it will sell for between $9.5 million and $10.5 million.

So, what makes it special? For starters, the exterior is unlike any other Zonda. It has been painted in metallic white and includes royal blue accents across the hood, roof scoop, doors, and rear fascia. It also has matching blue-painted brake calipers and blue accents on the black wheels.

As part of the 760 transformation, Pagani also installed flared carbon fiber front wheel arches, a roof scoop inspired by the legendary Zonda Cinque, and a slew of exposed carbon fiber elements. The 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 was also upgraded, allowing it to deliver 750 hp that’s funneled to the rear wheels via a sequential transmission with paddle shifters.
Second Chance at the Gavel
This won’t be the Riviera’s first time at auction. Back in late 2019, Silverstone Auctions sold it in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for $5.5 million. Since then, it appears to have remained in the Middle East, and in December it will once again be offered, this time in Abu Dhabi, where it is expected to set a new benchmark for Zonda values. Check out the listing here, because yachts are overrated anyway.
