Chrysler shocked the automotive world in the late 1990s when it launched the Prowler under its fading Plymouth brand. Somehow, the car’s backers managed to persuade the beancounters to let Chrysler build what was essentially a modern-day hot rod. The only problem: the final product wasn’t so hot when it came to driving performance.
