SVN Chicago Commercial’s Cawthon-Labriola Group has completed the sale of the former Providence of God Church campus located at 1814 S Union Avenue & 717 W 18th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
The Archdiocese of Chicago sold the site for $1.85 million. The 40,623-square-foot, two-building campus, is situated on 29,475 square feet of land. The property features a 26,365-square-foot two-level church, a 14,259-square-foot three-level school building, and a private parking lot accommodating approximately 15 vehicles. Leibel Moscowitz with Vandon Forbes represented the buyer in the transaction.
The campus was acquired by an expanding church congregation, preserving the property’s use as a long-standing community institution. “This was a unique opportunity to match a faith-based buyer with a site that already had deep community roots,” shared the Cawthon-Labriola Group. “The layout, footprint, and location made this an ideal candidate for continued institutional use with long-term potential.”
