- Toyota and Lexus recall 591,000 vehicles with clusters that can suddenly fail.
- Fifteen models from 2023–2025 are included, but not every vehicle is impacted.
- Dash displays can go blank at startup or while driving, raising crash risk.
New cars nowadays are a tech-lover’s dream, but with new features and technologies comes the risk of issues and failures. This is exactly what has happened to Toyota, which is recalling nearly 600,000 vehicles in the United States due to a digital instrument cluster fault.

According to the company, the 12.3-inch display fitted to a range of Toyota and Lexus models may fail to turn on during startup, leaving drivers with a blank screen. Obviously, driving without any of the key information displayed on the cluster is a bad idea. Additionally, if a malfunction occurs while driving, the risk of a crash or injury is increased.
Which Models Are Involved
The recall affects 591,000 vehicles across both Toyota and Lexus brands. Included in the list are the Toyota Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma, and Highlander. On the Lexus side, the LS, RX, and TX are also impacted.
Altogether, 15 different models from the 2023 through 2025 model years are included. Not every example of these vehicles is part of the recall, however. For instance, only seven Toyota 4Runners and three Lexus LS500h sedans are involved, while at the other end of the scale, more than 33,000 Lexus TX and over 113,000 Toyota RAV4s are affected.

The company will notify owners of affected models by the middle of November. Toyota dealers and Lexus have been instructed to inspect and update the programming of the instrument panel, or to replace it altogether with an improved one to resolve the issue.
This is not the only recent recall to be announced by Toyota. Earlier this month it was announced that 94,320 Toyota bZ4X, Subaru Solterra, and Lexus RZ models would be recalled because the HVAC system can enter a failsafe mode that prevents the heater and defroster from working.
