Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated a lease for Barnes & Noble Education’s (BNED) U.S. headquarters at 180 Park Ave. in Florham Park, NJ. The company, an independent public company and parent of Barnes & Noble College, signed a deal to lease 29,127 square feet in a relocation from Basking Ridge. BNED is a leading solutions provider for the education industry, having an impact at hundreds of academic institutions nationwide.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Brian Decillis and William O’Keefe represented the landlord, Vision Properties. BNED was represented by Gregg Najarian, Slava Vaynberg, and Neel Shah of Savills.
“We are proud to have executed this transaction, which highlights our ability to solve complex challenges in real time,” said David Milewski of Vision Properties. “Coordinating BNED’s headquarters requirement with Maersk’s early downsizing preserved occupancy, protected value, and reinforced 180 Park Avenue as a premier Class A asset. This reflects the type of hands-on, solutions-oriented asset management that drives long-term investor returns.”
