Volumetric Building Companies, a Philadelphia based provider of modular design and construction, is nearing completion of The Astir Callowhill. The project is VBC’s largest self-developed project to date in Philadelphia.
The Astir Callowhill is located at 1314 Spring Garden Street. It is seven-story and includes 149 units with retail space on the ground level. VBC served as the architect, builder, and developer. Scully Co. is overseeing leasing and day-to-day operations.
“This is a milestone not only for our team, but for modular construction in Philadelphia,” said Vaughan Buckley, CEO of Volumetric Building Companies. “The Astir Callowhill represents the efficiency, quality, and design-forward thinking that our approach makes possible, delivering much-needed housing faster without sacrificing character or comfort for residents.”
The Astir Callowhill offers a variety of layouts, from studios to two-bedroom apartments. The property is just steps from the Broad Street Line, and a growing collection of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.
