To follow up the max-range Air sedan and the totally-not-a-minivan Gravity SUV, Lucid Motors is working on a new midsized platform that will let it build a cheaper model. Late last year, a Lucid exec told us that the platform would spawn not one, but three new affordable electric models. At the IAA show in Munich, Lucid’s interim CEO poured some more tea about the company’s affordable vehicle plans. One of the trio will take its cues from the Gravity X. That means it’ll be an off-roader, with a lifted ride height, beefy tires, and other go-anywhere details.
