In the US, the pickup truck is an extremely popular form of transportation. These days, the trucks of yesteryear, the ones typically associated with farm work, are long gone. In their stead, the pickups of today often take on several roles all at once, such as a luxury vehicle, work truck, family hauler, and weekend toy carrier. Because they have to fill so many shoes, the pickup trucks of today have lost some of their old-school, durable simplicity.
