We’ve all been there: you get a robot vacuum to clean your house, only to realize it can’t handle stairs. You still have to carry it up and down, which defeats the whole purpose of effortless cleaning. Good news, multi-floor home owners: eufy launched a new device to solve that exact problem. It’s called the eufy MarsWalker, an accessory that will allow your eufy robot vacuum to climb stairs, earning it one of our Best of IFA 2025 awards thanks to its usefulness and innovation.
Eufy MarsWalker enables robot vacuums to climb stairs
The eufy MarsWalker is being introduced as the world’s first-ever stair-climbing carrier for a robot vacuum. Think of it as a robotic stairlift for your vacuum. The MarsWalker has four independently controlled arms that can adapt to different types of staircases. According to the company, it can climb L-shaped and U-shaped stairs. It also uses a track-drive system to grip each step securely, ensuring a smooth and reliable trip between floors.
With this new carrier, your robot vacuum can automatically detect stairs and move freely from one floor to the next. When it’s done cleaning, it can even return to its charging base on its own to empty the dustbin or wash its mop.
The MarsWalker is a standalone unit that will work with several eufy robot vacuum models. The list of compatible models includes the RoboVac Omni S2, which is also on display at IFA tech event. Eufy says the MarsWalker will be available in the spring of 2026, so you’ll have to wait a little longer for this new level of hands-free cleaning.
