Roborock isn’t content with just being the tool you use to clean your floors inside; it also wants to be your go-to tool for ensuring you keep a clean lawn outside, and that’s where its latest offering, the RockMow Z1, comes in, which the company just announced at IFA 2025 this past week.
The Roborock RockMow Z1 is a precisely-tuned robot lawn mower that won’t shy away from a job. No lawn is too big nor too small, it would seem, and in fact, Roborock says the RockMow Z1 was designed specifically for large and demanding lawns. Would it be overkill for a smaller lawn? We’d say no, because you still deserve great lawn care, no matter how big it is. Plus, who wouldn’t want to offload the task of mowing the lawn to someone else? In this case, you just don’t have to hire anyone to do it. The Roborock RockMow Z1 can do it for you. This is a big part of why we gave the Roborock RockMow Z1 the Best of IFA 2025 award.
The Roborock RockMow Z1 can climb sloped lawns with a steep incline
Don’t worry if your lawn has a steep incline. You won’t have to push the RockMow Z1 up the hill. Roborock designed it to be able to climb up slopes. It has the power to move up a sloped lawn that has up to a 38.7-degree incline thanks to its all-wheel drive system. This same system also helps the RockMow Z1 move over more challenging lawn terrain.
Rough lawns aren’t a problem for the RockMow Z1. It has a built-in dynamic suspension system to help ensure it won’t be stopped by bumpy areas or small rocks. Roborock also says this helps maintain mower and blade stability to ensure consistent cuts of each blade of grass.
It’s capable of covering up to 5,000m before needing a recharge
Remember how we said this was designed to handle large and demanding lawns? Well, we meant it. In addition to the dynamic suspension system and the powerful all-wheel drive, the RockMow Z1 also has the capability to cover up to 5,000m of lawn. This will make it a breeze for the RockMow Z1 to cover compact lawns, and it should easily be able to handle both the front and back of the house in one go. Of course, this all depends on the size of your lawn. As an added bonus, the RockMow Z1 app lets you create text and custom designs for the Z1 to mow into the lawn. While this isn’t necessarily a practical thing you’ll use a lot, it could be a fun thing for birthdays and other celebrations. In short, the Roborock RockMow Z1 is absolutely loaded with useful features, and it’s likely to be the best thing that’s happened to your lawn in a while. It’s a smart home purchase we’d make ourselves. Which is why we awarded it the Best of IFA 2025 award.
