BMW made engines long before it started building motorcycles and cars. And with more than a century of experience of building great engines, the company has created some spectacular ones over the years. For instance, in the late 80s, BMW’s engine designers came up with a mighty V16 engine, with a plan penciled-in to use the 6.7-liter mill in the brand’s 7-Series and the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
