Ask people to name a real clunker and there’s a good chance they’ll go with the Chevy Vega. This car sold like hotcakes and even won Motor Trend’s Car of the Year award in 1971 but these days it may be more well-known for its frequent mechanical breakdowns than for its stylish profile or efficient (for the time) powertrain.
