We’ve exclusively shared the Galaxy S26 Edge CAD-based renders yesterday, showing you what will the device look like. Following that, Roland Quandt has published some information regarding the Galaxy S26 series cameras. Ice Universe, another tipster, chipped in, too.
Roland talked about all three phones on Bluesky. As many of you know, the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the names of the upcoming phones.
The entire Galaxy S26 series will come with camera hardware upgrades
With that being said, let’s talk about their cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will once again feature four cameras on the back. It will utilize a 200-megapixel main camera (f/1.4 aperture), a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/1.9 aperture), and two telephoto cameras. A 12-megapixel 3x telephoto (S5K3LD sensor, f/2.4 aperture) will be included, along with a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera (f/2.9 aperture).
Neither of the two tipsters specifically mentioned it, but that 50-megapixel telephoto camera will almost certainly be a periscope telephoto camera. The other one will likely be a regular telephoto shooter. You’ll notice that at least one of those four cameras is new, the telephoto one. The Galaxy S25 Ultra includes a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, a different sensor entirely.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will actually get a bump not only with a new telephoto camera, but in other areas too. The main camera will allow the light intake to increase by 47%. The phone’s periscope telephoto unit, however, will also allow for more light to get in, 38% more than on last-gen model.
What about the Galaxy S26 Edge? Well, the tipster claims that a 200-megapixel main camera will be included, like it was on the Galaxy S25 Edge. That phone will get an upgrade when it comes to an ultrawide camera, as a 50-megapixel one will be included instead of the 12-megapixel unit that the Galaxy S25 Edge used.
The Galaxy S26 Pro will get an ultrawide camera upgrade, at least
And finally, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro. That will be the smallest member of the Galaxy S26 series. Roland said that the phone will feature a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. It will not include only one rear camera, but that’s all the info that he has at the moment. The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to have three rear-facing cameras, by the way. That 50-megapixel ultrawide unit is already an improvement compared to the Galaxy S25.
So, it seems like all three phones will feature a camera hardware upgrade, at least one per phone. Their dummies also surfaced a couple of days ago. All three of these phones are expected to launch in January next year, by the way.
