Luna has announced the global launch of Luna 2.0 at IFA 2025. This is the company’s new smart ring that challenges Oura. At the heart of it is LifeOS, which is claimed to “transform biometrics into adaptive real-time guidance.” Pretty much like all tech that’s coming out lately, the wearable offers a bunch of AI-backed features like health scoring, Luna AI 2.0 assistant, and others. Thanks to the redesigned charging case, the battery life extends to 21+ days.
The Luna 2.0 smart ring features new LifeOS
Powering the Luna 2.0 smart ring is LifeOS, which is the most “data-trained AI wearable intelligence.” It integrates circadian rhythm science, biomarker signals, personal habits, and contextual data to create a “dynamic intelligence layer.” The company notes that LifeOS is powered by over a billion sleep events, making it the most trained intelligence layer across rings.
LifeOS will learn the internal body clock to guide daily peak performance. The system adapts to the user’s lifestyle, habits, and environment. The built-in Luna AI 2.0 assistant is now more contextual and conversational. It offers suggestions for sleep optimization, movement patterns, and energy management. The company notes that this bridges the gap between raw data and real-life wellness decisions.

The smart ring is 5 ATM water-resistant
The Luna Ring 2.0 offers real-time sleep, readiness, and activity scores. Handling all these metrics is the Luna Engine. This analyzes physiological patterns to offer personalized recommendations on sleep quality, stress resilience, and recovery. The Luna 2.0 provides deeper sleep analysis, with insights like latency, efficiency, circadian rhythm, sleep cycles, movement disturbances, and respiratory performance during rest.
The Luna 2.0 gets advanced workout tracking, including calories burned and effort levels. The ring can also track activities like running, cycling, walking, and freestyle sessions. It can spot stress through heart rate, recovery trends, and temperature shifts. Additionally, it can detect “physiological shifts” in an individual’s cycle, like temperature and recovery, to predict phases and personalize wellness insights.
The smart ring gets a durable titanium body, too, which is 5 ATM water-resistant. As for the battery, the Luna 2.0 ring can last up to 5 days on a single charge, which extends to 21+ with the new charging case.
Price and availability
The Luna 2.0 will set you back about $300 or $329 with the surge charging case. The smart ring will be available via the Luna website, with Amazon availability starting next month.
