Google is hyping up the Pixel 10 launch in a couple of weeks, and have now put out a new ad on YouTube.
This is a 30-second ad titled “Google Pixel 10 | Soon” and it is straight up targeting the iPhone. It starts off by saying, “If you buy a new phone, because of a feature that’s coming soon, but it’s been coming soon for a full year, you could change your definition of ‘soon’, or you could just change your phone”. Showing the Pixel 10 at the end.
Without mentioning Apple at all, Google just took them head-on, by talking about the failure that is Apple Intelligence. That’s brilliant marketing by Google right there. And it should come as no surprise, Google has been targeting iPhone users quite a bit since the Pixel 9 launched last year.
Pixel 10 is coming on August 20
The Google Pixel 10 is set to be announced at a Made by Google event on August 20, in New York City. Though, quite a few of the details have already leaked ahead of the event. Google is expected to announce the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Along with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a.
The Pixel 10 is set to get a pretty big upgrade this year, including a third camera. For the first time, Google is adding a telephoto camera to the base Pixel 10 this year. And we’ve revealed that it will be a 10.8-megapixel telephoto sensor, so it will be quite small and actually the same sensor that is in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and will be in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
We’re just 16 days away from Google unveiling the new Pixel 10 lineup, and we can’t wait.
