The rumor mill has been buzzing with details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, they have focused mainly on what new features and enhanced specifications we might see. But now, we might have received the most realistic early look yet at the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
A conceptual image has appeared, showcasing the rear of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The standout feature is a new vertical raised platform dedicated to three of its rear cameras. This design choice aligns with the rear camera layout seen on the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7.
This is what the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra design could look like
It is important to remember that this image comes from a conceptual design and is not an official render. However, the renowned leaker Ice Universe, who has a strong track record with Samsung phone tips, has commented on the concept. They suggested that its creator “might have actually nailed it.”

Ice Universe’s comment isn’t based on insider knowledge of the S26 Ultra’s final design. In their post, the leaker even clarified they haven’t seen it yet. Instead, their assessment comes from connecting the dots with other recent leaks concerning the phone’s specifications and features.
Two particular leaks seem to point towards a design like the one depicted in the conceptual image. Firstly, Ice Universe themselves recently revealed that the main camera and the 5x periscope telephoto lens on the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature larger apertures. Secondly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be thinner than the current Galaxy S25 Ultra.
When you put these two pieces of information together—larger camera components in a thinner phone—it inevitably suggests a thicker rear camera bump. Ice Universe even suggests the camera system could protrude about 3mm from the back of the phone. Given this, adding a raised platform for these rear cameras, as shown in the conceptual image, “makes a lot of sense,” according to the reliable tipster. This clever design could be Samsung’s way of accommodating advanced camera hardware while maintaining a sleek profile for their next flagship.
It’s currently a bit early to know definitively what the Galaxy S26 Ultra will look like. However, a design aligned with the recently announced Galaxy Z Fold 7 seems like a logical move. The design tweak will also help to “disguise” the fact that the camera bump is larger than before. Considering the reason for this is a potentially more powerful camera system, it’s a compromise that fans of the brand are surely willing to make.
