Nothing is all set to expand its range of smartphones by launching the Nothing Phone (3) on July 1st. This phone could feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with several new design changes. In addition, the brand will introduce its first over-ear headphones called the Nothing Headphone (1) alongside the new phone. Nothing has kept the features and design of the Headphone (1) a secret, but a couple of sources have leaked a few photos.
Nothing Headphone (1) draws design inspiration from a cassette tape
As seen in the leaked renders and live images, the Nothing Headphone (1) will offer the brand’s signature design elements on the ear cups. The company’s first over-ear style audio accessory will feature a retro, cassette-inspired design. It’ll have earcups with a two-part design. It looks like the company has made the base with metal and the oval-shaped island on top of it from plastic.
Furthermore, one of the leaked photos features “sound by KEF” branding. Nothing and KEF announced a partnership last month to explore “new frontiers in sound innovation and bring refined audio experiences to a broader audience.” Nothing’s Headphone (1) could be one of the first audio devices as part of this collaboration.
The leaked photos also show that the Nothing Headphone (1) will have three buttons—two on the side and one on the outside of the earcup. Although it will be a wireless audio accessory, you’ll be able to use the pair of over-ear headphones with a 3.5mm audio jack if you like. Judging from the photos, the device doesn’t appear to offer a foldable design.

Pricing details of Nothing’s first over-ear headphones have already leaked
Recently, a report leaked some details regarding the Nothing Headphone (1)’s price. As per the source, the company will sell the device for $309 in the US, €299 in Europe, and £299 in the UK. The newly leaked images indicate the new headphones will be available in Black and White colorways.
As of now, there’s no official hint from the company about the features of the new audio product. However, at this price point, we can expect that the Nothing Headphone (1) will offer high-end features like active noise cancellation (ANC), a transparency mode, and a long-lasting battery.
