It seems like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge sales are quite disappointing. Well, at least based on a report from Korea. This report comes from The Elec, and it goes hand-in-hand with a report from earlier this month.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge sales took a “nosedive”
That report quoted industry sources, while this one comes from The Elec’s undefined sources. The report claims that Samsung is selling fewer Galaxy S25 Edge units than expected. In fact, it says that Samsung “considerably lowered” the number of units it manufactured in June.
The source did note that new phones usually see good sales for the first three months. This “nosedive” is definitely not a good sign, it’s noted. No exact numbers were shared, though, as was the case with the report earlier this month.
Furthermore, some of you may remember that the same source said that it’s “highly likely” that Samsung will replace the Galaxy S26+ with the Galaxy S26 Edge next year. That report did say that the ‘Plus’ model may remain if the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge proves to be unpopular amongst consumers.
Samsung could opt to ditch the Galaxy S26 Edge altogether
Well, considering that the sales have been lackluster, the Galaxy S26 Edge may not even happen next year. It’s still too early to tell, of course, we’ll have to wait. Still, this is not a good sign for the company’s ‘Edge’ phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s main selling point is its extreme thinness. This phone is only 5.8mm thick, which makes it a perfect phone to stuff into a case. Because of that thinness, it has a tiny battery for its size, which could be one of the main reasons it’s not selling well.
Another reason for poor sales could be its price tag. The phone is not cheap at $1,100, especially considering that one major compromise that you have to deal with. On top of all that, it seems like its cooling is not as good as it should be, thus sustained performance is suffering. That’s not surprising considering the limited space inside the chassis. All in all, things are not looking good for the Galaxy S25 Edge.
