Nissan, as you might have heard, is in a spot of trouble. While we believe it has a decent chance at survival, we also know the road ahead won’t be easy. Part of the plan is to cut some of the fat, which in this case means closing several factories around the globe. The second part of the plan is to introduce new models, including those that use Nissan’s new e-Power technology. It’s kind of like a hybrid powertrain, but also not. It uses the same basic components, but arranged differently, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption beyond what a traditional hybrid is capable of. Nissan will introduce e-Power in the USA in 2026 when the all-new Rogue makes its debut.
