The historic Schoolhouse Factory Building located at 2181 NW Nicolai St. in Portland, OR, is officially coming to market for lease or sale. The prominent four-story 125,000-square-foot building has served as the headquarters, showroom and manufacturing facility for Schoolhouse Electric, a lighting and lifestyle goods company.
Cushman & Wakefield managing director Brad Carnese is leading the marketing efforts for the property. The team is primarily targeting tenants or owner/occupants.
“The property has been a treasured part of Portland’s proud business and architectural past, and we expect it will continue to serve as an adored part of the city’s future built environment,” said Carnese.
Originally built in 1910 and designed by renowned architect John Virginius Bennes, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Pacific Hardware & Steel Company Warehouse. The current owner has also made significant capital improvements to incorporate contemporary design elements.
