- Bentley has teased the sportiest and most agile Bentayga ever created.
- It promises to be faster and more powerful than the Bentayga Speed.
- The crossover is slated to have an Akrapovič exhaust and over 626 hp.
Bentley’s W12 engine faded into the history books last summer, but that doesn’t mean the end of British performance. Quite the opposite as the ultra-luxury brand is teasing the “most dynamic Bentayga yet.”
Sent to be unveiled on June 2, the model promises to be the “new performance flagship of the Bentayga lineup.” The company went on to say it will be faster, more powerful, and more agile than the W12-powered Bentayga Speed as well as the “most emotional and engaging Bentayga to date.”

That’s not a lot to go on, but Bentley confirmed the crossover will have a twin-turbocharged V8 that eschews hybrid technology. The company wasn’t ready to talk numbers, but we can expect an output in excess of 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS). The model should also be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 3.9 seconds.
Regardless of the final numbers, they’ll be a significant improvement over the traditional twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 542 hp (404 kW / 550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. It enables the SUV to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, while on its way to a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Bentley isn’t saying much else about the model at this point, but the teaser video reveals it will have an Akrapovič exhaust and black badging. They’ll be joined by a sporty diffuser as well as “a more extreme Sport calibration with a new ESC Dynamic mode.” The latter promises to “permit exhilarating drift angles – a first for Bentley’s pinnacle performance SUV.”
