Pickleball Club of Georgia is taking over an empty warehouse at 1365 English St. and is preparing to convert it into a 100,000-square-foot pickleball facility. The development team is only waiting on the demolition and construction permits to get started. Urbanize Atlanta reports Moeller Purcell Construction Company has joined the project as the general contractor. The project’s architects, Terminus Design Group, say it’s the largest of its kind in the country.
More than 30 courts are being planned along with a full-service gym, a golf-simulator wing, multiple event spaces, and a full kitchen and bar.
Pickleball Club of Georgia is aiming to be a full-day destination for fans of the game, rather than a quick stop.Â
The massive facility will be used as home court for Georgia Tech’s pickleball club and will offer memberships and walk-in play, in addition to leagues, summer camps, clinics, after-school programs, and more.Â
