You set up a profile online, reserve your gear and then it’s delivered to your ski condo or hotel when you are on holiday. The relationship doesn’t stop with the first delivery. For example, on a trip to Sun Valley, the conditions drastically changed due to warming temperatures, the team at the Ski Butlers swapped out our skis to make sure we made the most of our family vacation.
Getting the Perfect Gear
Most of your work is done when you register your family on the Ski Butler portal.
- Record the height, weight and shoe size for everyone in the family.
- Identify what type of skier or rider you are. This will help them set the din on your boots.
- Supply your arrival date, contact information and location for delivery and pick up.
Once your details are entered they are saved in the system in your profile (making your next rental a breeze). From there the team at Ski Butlers works behind the scenes to prepare for your visit. The team will arrive at your condo, hotel or rental home ready to go. That’s right you get to SKIP the crowded rental line at the mountain. Your Ski Butlers are expert ski technicians who provide custom fittings for boots, ski and snowboard rentals in the comfort of your home. Squirmy kids can watch a video or have a snack while getting boots fitted. Mom can be sipping coffee instead of wrangling crabby kids and everyone can get out to the slopes faster. They bring a few options along with them to make sure everyone is happy before the first ski day.
During your ski trip, Ski Butlers can swap our gear. At the end of the trip, they will pick up all equipment on your final day.

What is available?
All the gear is from Rossignol. They carry ski gear and boards, boots and helmets. All the gear is in excellent shape and they get the latest Rossi models. They do have high performance packages as well as gear for kids. The gear is constantly being updated and replace to assure guest have the best possible experience.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many people in your family plan to ski and ride and for how many days. It gets cheaper per day the longer you rent. Prices are lower or comparable to on-mountain ski rentals. When I priced out a 4-day rental at Telluride (headed there on spring break), the cost was $264 for High Performance skis and poles.
For families who are considering bringing skis, keep in mind that airlines can charge you HUNDREDS of dollars to bring your gear and it might get damaged. When we travel, we bring our own boots and helmets and rely on Ski Butlers to get us the perfect skis for our vacation conditions.
How much time does it take?
Filling out the forms will take about 10 minutes for the initial account set up. After the reservation is complete, you’ll get and email confirmation. A day or so before your arrival you’ll get a call from your local Ski Butler to lock in delivery time. They haul all the gear to you and from there, it’s pretty seamless. If something doesn’t fit or work, they will make it right. Now that my family has used Ski Butlers, we can say we will never wait in line at the base area again.
