Luxury cars have a reputation for being more expensive to maintain. This is sometimes misconstrued as luxury cars being less reliable than their downmarket competitors, but this isn’t necessarily the case. They are built from more expensive components, often requiring special servicing. Thank goodness for the NHTSA, then, which dictates that all recall-mandated repairs must be performed free of charge.
