A decision by Hasbro Inc. on a planned headquarters relocation has been pushed back until this summer after an earlier expectation of news in late winter, reported the Boston Business Journal. The Pawtucket, RI-based toy maker has eyed Boston as it seeks a new corporate home. It’s reportedly looking hard at 400 Summer St., a new building in the Seaport.
Headquartered in Rhode Island since 1962, Hasbro has also considered two other Boston locations: 100 Summer St., a 32-story tower owned by Rockpoint Group; and 10 Summer St., a Millennium Partners mixed-use building that features a Primark store on its ground floors. Hasbro asked for final offers from Boston landlords in January, the Business Journal reported.
In the meantime, Rhode Island has been pitching Hasbro to keep it headquartered in the Ocean State. It offered a prime parcel in Providence’s Jewelry District and produced a video meant to send a message to its executives.
