Honda Passport model years technically span 30 years, though the Passport did go on hiatus between 2002 and 2018. In 1993, the first of the four current Honda Passport generations debuted as a badge-engineered Isuzu Rodeo. Looking to cash in on the burgeoning SUV segment at the time, this partnership made sense for Honda as it did not yet have its own SUV. These would be the only Honda Passport models to offer a four-cylinder engine.
