Shoppers in Texas will soon have a fresh spot to test out Google gear in person. The company is officially opening a new Google physical store at the Houston Galleria on November 6, 2026. This launch marks its eleventh retail location in the United States and its twelfth storefront globally as the brand continues to build out its physical footprint.
You can find the new space inside Texas’s largest shopping destination at 5085 Westheimer Road, right alongside popular mall staples. Store hours run from 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, with doors staying open until 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday shoppers can stop by between 11 am and 7 pm, making it easy to drop in during weekend errands (via 9to5Google).
Hands-on tech testing and same-day repairs
Instead of just putting Pixel phones on display, the Houston storefront brings several practical services for everyday device owners. Release details shared by Google confirm that visitors can pick up online orders in person or walk in for same-day phone repairs. Having certified technicians behind the counter means you can get a cracked screen fixed or solve tricky software bugs without mailing your device away.
The floor plan includes interactive display tables where you can try out camera features, compare smartwatches, or test smart home gear. Store staff can assist with trade-ins, answer setup questions and help move your data over smoothly when switching devices. You can also drop by for live product walkthroughs or book one-on-one support sessions whenever you need help.
Expanding physical retail across Texas and beyond
Houston becomes the second Texas city to get an official Google Store after Austin welcomed its own location last year. The company has been growing its physical footprint in key hubs, launching stores in Tokyo and San Diego earlier in 2026.
Testing hardware in person is a big deal when trying to decide between different screen sizes, watch bands, or color options. Interactive displays also give users a clear look at helpful software features like real-time translation and on-device photo editing. Tech fans around Houston now have a convenient local destination to get hands-on experience with the entire Pixel ecosystem.
