The Central Building in downtown Seattle, a 119-year-old historic landmark, has been listed for sale.
The property’s assessed value is $24.3 million, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. The building was listed by Newmark without an asking price, and the approximately 200,000-square-foot structure is 30.6% leased.
In 2018, New York-based companies Brickman and GreenOak Real Estate purchased the property at 810 Third Avenue for $67.5 million. Kawa Capital Management acquired the property through a deed in lieu of foreclosure in 2023 and renovated it, adding amenities including a fitness center, bike room, lockers and showers.
The Central Building was built in 1907 and was designed by architect Charles Ronald Aldrich. It was designated as a city landmark by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board in 2008. Kawa Capital Management is a Miami-based alternative asset manager with $3 billion in assets under management.
