The very first Apple iPhone Duo unboxing video has surfaced online, courtesy of Kingmi Mobile. The video popped up on their YouTube channel, and while the Night Sky variant is unboxed, both colors are shown.
The first iPhone Duo unboxing video is now live on YouTube
This video gives you a really good look at the matte layer on the main display, which helps hide the crease. The person in the video, which is embedded below, also powers on the device in the process.
The iPhone Duo is also folded and unfolded here, while also being shown from various sides. A feature that allows you to use the cover display as a viewfinder while using the main cameras is also briefly shown here.
The iPhone Duo reviews could start dropping very soon, perhaps even today. The phone went on pre-order a couple of days ago, and the device’s full release will happen on October 23, when you’ll be able to get it in store.
Do note that iPhone Duos purchased from Apple’s online store won’t arrive until January 25. The company also did not confirm whether walk-in purchases on January 23 will be available.
Apple is trying to stop scalpers by limiting iPhone Duo pre-orders
It seems like Apple has rather limited stock of iPhone Duos, and/or the demand is quite high. The company has also limited iPhone Duo pre-orders to two per person to try to stop scalpers.
The iPhone Duo, for those of you who are out of the loop, is the company’s very first foldable smartphone. It is a wide foldable phone, by the way, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
The device is not exactly cheap, not at all. The starting price tag is $1,999 in the US, while in other regions, you’ll likely have to pay more than that.
