Motorola’s first wide foldable is on its way, and the device just surfaced on Geekbench. Before we get to that, however, do note that we’ve already shared its sketches, specs, and mockups based on the leaked information.
Motorola’s first wide foldable just appeared on Geekbench with a familiar name
In the specs article, we mentioned that the phone is referred to as ‘razr flex’ internally. Well, the phone just appeared on Geekbench under that name. The Motorola razr flex 27 has popped up on Geekbench.
This does not guarantee that’s the final name the company will use, of course. However, it could be. It kind of fits the naming scheme the company is using in North America, so… who knows. It could be just a placeholder, though. The Razr Flex (2027) could be the name the company will go for.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will fuel the device, as expected
In any case, this listing reveals that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, as we mentioned in the spec leak. This listing also confirms the 12GB RAM portion of the spec leak. Android 17 will, of course, come pre-installed.

Geekbench 6 reports a score of 2,669 points for the single-core benchmark and a score of 8,837 points for the multi-core benchmark. That is per course for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, so no surprises there.
A 5,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package
Motorola’s first wide foldable will likely utilize a 6.92-inch main display, along with a 4.97-inch cover panel. It will also include 256GB of storage and a 5,000mAh battery. USB-PD wired charging will be offered, along with 25W wireless charging.
The phone comes with IP48 and IP49 water and dust resistance. It will be available in PANTONE Dark Botanical Garden and PANTONE Coriander color variants.
The device is expected to arrive before the end of the year, but nothing is set in stone just yet. One thing is for sure, this phone is coming to join the best Motorola phones out there.
