A Year of Special Editions Comes to an End
Nearly a year ago, Jeep set out on its Twelve 4 Twelve adventure, rolling out a new limited-edition Wrangler every month to honor the brand’s heritage, design chops, and off-road cred. Now, the curtain falls with the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Switchback – the twelfth and final act in this colorful saga.
The Switchback is Jeep’s grand finale for this yearlong birthday bash. Earlier editions tipped their hats to military roots, retro vibes, and diehard fan clubs, but this last one goes off-script, channeling the mashup energy of gaming and digital culture.
Built on the Wrangler Rubicon X, the Switchback comes in both two-door and four-door flavors. The big draw? A purposely mismatched look that throws clashing colors and swap-meet parts right in your face. Of course, it’s still a Wrangler at heart, with all the four-wheel-drive muscle you’d expect – so it’s not just a fashion statement.

Contrasting Colors Define the Switchback
On the outside, the Switchback is all about Gloss Black and Sting-Gray, with the two shades swapped around like someone played musical chairs with the body panels. The dual-vented power dome hood and doors make it look like two Wranglers collided in a parts bin – and we mean that in the best way.
Gecko green steals the spotlight as the main accent, splashed across the grille surround, hood graphics, swing-gate decal, and beadlock wheel rings. Those rings get a custom Gecko finish, and yes, this is the first time Jeep has dared to put such loud beadlock rings on a production model.
Other exterior details include a three-piece hardtop finished in either Gloss Black or Sting-Gray, black Jeep and Trail Rated badges, and black tow hooks. The hood graphics carry the Switchback name, while a Sting-Gray “41” body-side decal adds another reference to Jeep’s heritage.
Inside, the cabin gets Global Black Nappa leather seats stamped with a Switchback logo you won’t find anywhere else, plus Sea Salt Nappa leather on the dash, door armrests, and center console. Jeep claims this is a Wrangler first.
Pearl and Lime stitching sneak in pops of color, while custom cupholder and swing-gate plaques add even more personality. The swing-gate plaque is loaded with blueprint-style Wrangler sketches, specs, map details, and shoutouts to Detroit and Toledo. A satin-chrome Willys shifter medallion and unique HVAC vent graphics finish things off.

Pricing and Availability
You can put your name down for a 2027 Wrangler Switchback starting in November. The package itself runs $2,870, with the two-door starting at $66,695 and the four-door at $69,995 – destination charge included.
If you like unique factory styling, the Switchback offers a Wrangler Rubicon X that stands out without needing aftermarket changes. The mismatched panels and Gecko accents make it easy to spot, while still highlighting the Wrangler’s off-road strengths.
