In September 2025, the project was canceled, with the brand citing slowing EV demand as the reason behind the move. It wasa costly course correction, reportedly causing roughly $26 billion to disappear. Ram began pushing a range-extended electric pickup truck called the Ramcharger instead, and its specs are quite promising.
