Chord Energy has been a tenant at 1001 Fannin for 20 years. The Houston Business Journal reports the company recently renewed and expanded its lease at JMB Realty’s 1001 Fannin in Houston, adding 27,000 square feet to its current footprint of 130,000 square feet. Partners Real Estate negotiated the lease on behalf of JMB.
Chord focuses on hydrocarbon exploration and hydraulic fracturing.
The 47-story tower includes 1.3 million square feet of office space with eight corner offices per floor, 25,000 square feet of retail and amenity space, and a parking garage that covers a full city block and is connected to the building via tunnel.
Following a recent multimillion-dollar renovation, JMB is developing a new conference center.
Chip Colvill, in Partners’ Houston office, and Brad Beasley represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Cushman & Wakefield’s Chad Beck represented Chord Energy.
