Android 17 is now landing on more Motorola devices in the US. 9to5Google reports, based on information from Derek Lee, that the Motorola Razr Ultra (2026) is now receiving the update. He himself received it.
Four additional Motorola phones are now getting Android 17 in the US
That’s not the only phone that is getting the update as we speak, though, not at all. It seems like the Motorola Signature, Edge 60 Fusion, and Edge 60 Pro are also receiving it. Do note that the update is rolling out in stages, so it may not arrive on your device straight away.
It is worth noting that the Motorola Edge 70 devices received the update a couple of weeks ago. The Motorola Razr Ultra (2026) that we’ve mentioned received an update that weighs 4.17GB, so it’s quite a hefty one.
That update arrived with version A171WLH.38-19-5, and it still includes the September 2026 security update, not the latest October security update. That update is likely on the way too as well, though.
The company detailed this update back in August
Motorola has a rather compact and not detailed changelog for this update, at least on the Motorola Razr Ultra (2026). It notes a “fresh, expressive design” and “smarter notifications”. The company did detail its Android 17 update at the end of August, though.
This update refreshed the design of the Quick Settings, as it introduces larger touch targets and streamlined navigation. The home screen and display controls have also received refinements. HDR brightness management has been improved.
Accessibility settings for vision, scaling, and magnification have been reorganized. This update also adds stackable widget support on the home screen. Connectivity has been improved as well, and much more.
Your phone will let you know once the update is available, but if you’re impatient, you can always check manually via Settings and hope that it’ll speed things up a bit.
