The city of Celina’s economic development office (CEDC) is moving forward with plans to build a hospitality campus intermingled with a handful of vintage grain silos. The agency owns the land housing the silos and has recently presented a plan that includes a brewery, food halls, shopping, event space and a hotel, all located along a linear park that follows the natural contours of Doe Branch Creek.
The town wants to emphasize the grain silos and the property’s history in the development’s theming. Norris Design, JHP Architecture and Catalyst Commercial have been chosen to move forward on the project.
The commercial retail segment would be laid out around a central plaza, with the retail and office buildings.
The CEDC purchased the land for $13.5 million in 2024 using funds from a half-cent sales tax.
