In the late 90s, if you were after V12 power in a roadster, Mercedes-Benz had you covered. The SL600 came equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 389 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. At the time, figures like that were impressive in their own right. However, AMG offered a solution for those who weren’t satisfied with the SL600’s output. It was called the SL73, and it first hit the scene in 1997.
