The exact thickness and weight of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra have just been revealed. The information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra thickness and weight have been revealed
The device will be 7.9mm thick (without the camera bump), and it will weigh 218 grams. So it will have the same thickness as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while it will be slightly heavier in comparison. That’s not a difference you’ll feel, though, as it’s a 4-gram difference.
As a reminder, we’ve already revealed the design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra a while back. It’s based on CAD renders. Do note that the setup within the camera bar has changed ever so slightly, though.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will have a new camera bar on the back, but other than that, it won’t be all that much different than its predecessor. The Galaxy S27 Pro will have the same camera bar, while the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will look basically the same as their predecessors.
Major image processing improvements coming as well
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is also said to get major improvements to software processing. The same tipster detailed those changes the other day, while he also talked about the main and periscope telephoto cameras.
The device will get a 200MP main camera, a new one, while it will ditch the 3x telephoto camera. As far as telephoto cameras are concerned, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit with 5x optical zoom will be included.
Qualcomm’s most powerful chip will fuel the device
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is expected to fuel the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Qualcomm’s new flagship chip. The phone will also ship with Android 17, while One UI 9 will come pre-installed on top of it.
All four Galaxy S27 series phones are expected to arrive in Q1 next year. They’ll probably drop in January or February.
