If you’re a T-Mobile subscriber, you’re in for some terrible news, as the company is increasing its fees for the second time in 2026. This means your carrier bill is about to become more expensive even if your plan hasn’t changed and you think you have some price lock. Here’s how much more you’re going to have to pay.
T-Mobile is increasing its fees again for the second time this year
T-Mobile’s “Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fee” is increasing for the second time in 2026. It’s increasing by $1 more per month this time. This is also the third time in less than two years that this fee is seeing a hike. This is definitely not what T-Mobile subscribers would want to put up with, but they will have to.
The new Regulatory Programs & Teleco Recovery Fee will increase to $5.49 per month per voice line. It went up from $3.99 to $4.49 in January this year after rising from $3.49 to $3.99 in April 2025. Well, this means your bill has increased by $2 per line per month in just 18 months. That is even if your plan hasn’t changed.
The price increase will take effect on October 12
The carrier has already updated its fees & charges page, confirming the price increase. For voice lines, the fee is currently $4.49 per line per month (including $0.50 for Regulatory Programs and $3.99 for Teleco Recovery). It will increase to $5.49 per line per month on October 12.
For mobile internet lines, the fee is currently $2.10 per line per month (including $0.12 for Regulatory Programs and $1.98 for Telco Recovery). This will increase to $2.60 per line per month on October 12, 2026. As you can see, the mobile internet lines are also seeing a $0.50 price increase per month. For those unaware, T-Mobile charges this fee to recover some of the costs it incurs to offer its services.
