If you’re looking for your next Huawei smartphone, the Mate 90 series is expected to be announced soon. And now thanks to leaked images and renders, we might have a better idea of what the Huawei Mate 90 design looks like.
Huawei Mate 90 design leaked
One of the leaked images of the Huawei Mate 90 design comes from tipster Digital Chat Station. It shows the front of the phone, which, interestingly enough, has three hole-punch cutouts. Assuming Huawei isn’t going to surprise us with some kind of new technology, that’s probably where the facial recognition system and selfie camera live.
Admittedly the front of the phone isn’t very remarkable, and the back is probably more interesting. Additional alleged live photos of the phone show that the handset will come in multiple colors with a textured back. Huawei is also keeping the circular camera module design, with what appears to be a triple camera setup.
We don’t have the exact specs of the phone yet, but we should know soon enough.
Mate 90 RS Ultimate
Now, if you prefer a higher-end model, don’t worry, it seems Huawei is also working on the Mate 90 RS Ultimate. The phone looks considerably different from the rest of the Mate 90 series, at least as far as the back is concerned.
Leaked renders point towards the use of sharper and more obvious lines and corners. It has a more edgy and sporty look. Also, the render suggests a dual-tone finish of red and white, which actually looks pretty cool. The overall design is similar to the Mate 80 RS Ultimate, save for the color. However, there are rumors that suggest that we could see the return of the ceramic back.
That being said, Huawei phones are still not available for purchase in the US. Also, even though some of their phones are sold in other parts of the world, Huawei does make certain models China-exclusive. So for now, we can’t speak to the availability of the upcoming Mate 90 series.
Hopefully Huawei will have more details to share once the new phones have been announced.
