The Realme 16 Pro series debuted earlier this year. Months later, the company has now launched a special Harry Potter edition, which should definitely please you if you’re a fan. It’s worth noting that the internal hardware of the phone is unchanged; only the external design is getting a makeover. For one, the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter edition features a brown, leather-textured finish inspired by Hogwarts’ collegiate style.
Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter edition reveals a Hogwarts crest under UV Light
Realme says the phone features the world’s first Quadra Light-Sensing color-changing technology that reveals the four colors of the Hogwarts crest when exposed to sunlight or UV light. The middle frame of the phone has a “Welcome to Hogwarts” laser-engraved inscription. The phone also gets a Hedwig-inspired rear camera module design.
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter edition will come in a custom gift box designed as a 1:1 replica of Harry Potter’s iconic trunk. This packaging offers a themed experience for users. It includes a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a customized full set of Harry Potter character postcards, a platform train ticket, and a bookmark. There’s also a customized phone case and crest phone pin.
While that’s for the physical merchandise, the special edition’s software also offers a Harry Potter experience throughout the UI. That includes Harry Potter wallpapers, redesigned icons, a special fingerprint animation, a special boot and unlock animation, and GT mode. The camera app also features watermarks based on the four Hogwarts houses.
Harry Potter-themed TWS earbuds
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter edition measures 8.47mm in thickness and weighs 198 grams. It houses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chip and a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1,272 x 2,772 pixel resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate.
The phone features a 200MP main camera with dual-axis optical and electronic image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide lens. There’s a 50MP selfie camera on the front. It runs on Android 16-based Realme UI 7 out of the box.
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter edition has a price of Rs 62,999 (~$660) for the 12GB + 256GB of storage. The company also unveiled the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition earbuds. They feature 12.4mm drivers and 50dB noise cancellation.
