Samsung‘s next high-end tablets are virtually fully exposed ahead of their official debut. A massive hardware leak has spilled almost every spec detail for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, signaling an October 7 reveal alongside a streamlined flagship lineup that drops the entry-level base model entirely. This follows fresh reports showing the classic folio-like covers and keyboard covers for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+.
Distinct displays, memory tiers, and hardware upgrades
The latest leak comes from retail data sheets obtained by tech outlet WinFuture. According to the report, both slates continue Samsung’s reliance on MediaTek silicon, packing the 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ features a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 2,800 x 1,752 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It lands a tangible hardware upgrade with a 10,600mAh battery—up from the 10,090mAh cell in its predecessor. All while trimming its weight down to 555 grams. It also comes bundled with an S Pen in the box, though audio drops from four speakers to two stereo speakers.
Meanwhile, the massive Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra keeps its familiar 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display pushing a 2,960 x 1,848 resolution at 120Hz. There’s also an 11,600mAh battery, quad stereo speakers, a slim 5.1mm profile, and a 693-gram weight. Both models feature aluminum bodies with IP68 water resistance, 45W fast charging, and microSD expansion up to 2TB.
Base configurations offer 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage. However, only the Ultra adds a high-end option with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Camera specs, pricing, and launch timeline
Camera setups offer slight variations between models. The Tab S12+ sports a single 13MP rear sensor and a 12MP wide front camera. The Ultra keeps that same 12MP selfie camera but adds an 8MP ultrawide lens next to its 13MP rear camera, with both tablets supporting 4K video recording at 60 fps.
According to leaked European pricing, the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at €1,299 (around $1,492). Meanwhile, the Tab S12 Ultra begins at €1,539 (roughly $1,767), with 5G variants expected to cost €200 more. Running Android 17 with One UI 9.0 out of the box, both tablets are slated to arrive in silver and gray finishes following their rumored October 7 announcement.
